Copper Cost Curves
-------------------------
The copper cost curves now incorporate these revisions. This new set of curves shows major shifts in the copper cost rankings in 2004 and 2005 resulting from the big increases in metals prices in late 2003 and the current squeeze on concentrate supplies. Many concentrate producers with byproduct credits are now ranked lower than the major SXEW producers, and the US Cu-Mo mines have been transformed from dogs to stars.
In fact we were so impressed with the result for copper that we have re-estimated the lead-zinc cost curves for 2004 and 2005.
All the re-estimated cost curves are on the website at http://www.minecost.com/curves.htm.
The nickel cost curves are also being re-estimated for 2004 and 2005 and will available by the end of this week.
